Abstract

The current are evidence of success in renal transplantation in this center, and this is consistent with data from the UNOS study. However, the current study also suggests that transplantation in China is quite different from that in Europe and America. The undergoing diseases in China are mainly primary glomerular diseases; IgA nephropathy accounts for a quarter of ESRD, while diabetes nephropathy accounts for only 3.13% of ESRD. Only small doses of MMF and Tac can inhibit rejection and result in a decreased incidence of infection. The leading causes of death after renal transplantation are severe pneumonia and liver failure. With the exception of late rejection, death with a functional graft is another significant cause of raft loss.
