Shiming Zhang, Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr. Shiming Zhang earned his Ph.D. from Ecole Polytechnique, University of Montreal, Canada, under the supervision of Prof. Fabio Cicoira. There, he initiated research on the development of soft and healable organic bioelectronics for a better human-device interface. Before joining TIBI, he was a postdoctoral researcher and subgroup leader in Khademhosseini Laboratory at UCLA, working on the use of organic bioelectronics technology and conducting hydrogels for the development of tissue-like medical wearables. Shiming has published more than 40 articles in prestigious journals such as Nature, Advanced Materials, and Applied Physics Letters. He is recognized as an outstanding reviewer by several prestigious journals such as Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Electronic Materials, and Organic Electronics. Shiming has received several prestigious awards, including the reputed Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Government of Canada, the Merit Scholarship for International Students from the Government of Quebec, and the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Student Abroad from the Government of China.
