Reza Zamani is a data scientist-AI/ML expert at Terasaki Institute. He is applying data visualization, feature engineering, and various AIML algorithms in regression, classification, LLM and Generative AI.
Previously, he was a data scientist at UC Berkeley Hass in 2024, where he applied machine learning algorithms, data visualization, query and feature engineering to analyze different big data and give policy recommendations.
He got his professional certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) from UC Berkeley (2024- 2025), where he has boasted his knowledge in machine learning, deep learning and Generative AI. In various projects, he has applied AIML algorithms, including lasso, ridge, polynomial, linear, grid search, support vector machine (SVM), decision trees, logistic regression, ensemble models (random forest, XGBoost, AdaBoost), neural networks and deep learning, RNN , CNN, GRU, NLP, time series ( including LSTM, , ARIMA, and SARIMAX), and Generative AI (including LLMs, GANs, VAEs, transformers and diffusion models).
Collaboration with BrightFoxAI, as machine learning and generative AI engineer, he is working on LLMs and use different approaches, including domain-specific LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG (sematic chunking, embedding, and re-ranking), fine- tuning, pre and post-processing to improve LLMs’ performance.
He has a Ph.D. in economics and a bachelor in civil engineering, and is expert in computer programming, statistics, mathematical modeling and computation, time-series and economic policy analysis, and data science.
