Los Angeles, CA — April 21, 2026 — The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation invites the public to its 2026 Open House on Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Free and open to all ages, the event offers a rare behind-the-scenes and witness firsthand how cutting-edge science is being translated into real-world healthcare solutions.
Throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to meet the scientists behind the research, explore the Institute's state-of-the-art facilities through guided lab tours, and engage with live demonstrations and hands-on activities designed for visitors of all ages. An interactive photo station will give attendees a chance to step into the role of scientist for the day, creating a memorable experience for the whole family. Complimentary refreshments and light bites will be served throughout the event.
Visitors will have the chance to explore the Institute’s most promising areas of research up close, including wearable sensor technology, wound healing and tissue regeneration, micro-organoid technology, injectable biomaterial gels, and innovative approaches to obesity research. The program will also feature guest speakers who will share their perspectives on the Institute’s vision and offer attendees a firsthand look at where the future of biomedical science is headed.
