Hamed Serati Nouri, Postdoctoral Researcher
Dr. Hamed Serati Nouri received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Azad University of Tabriz, Iran in 2006. After some years of working in a veterinary clinic, dairy industry, and pharmaceutical companies, he went on to pursue his PhD in Applied Cell Science and Tissue Engineering in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. He obtained his PhD in 2022. His research work has focused on “Designing and characterization of polymeric nanocomposite scaffolds containing different phytochemicals and minerals along with the study of their effects on osteoblastic differentiation and senescence of mesenchymal stem cells aiming to bone regeneration”. Hamed also has one year of experience at the Hannover Medical School in Germany researching on the characterization of mouse models for cystic fibrosis. He established histological and immuno-histochemical methods to investigate pathological alterations in the different segments of the intestinal tract of the different CF mouse models. He joined Dr. Khademhosseini's lab at the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation (TIBI) in September 2022 as a postdoctoral researcher. Here he will be conducting research in the field of tissue engineering and biomaterials and proposing innovative solutions utilizing biomaterials and bioengineering methods to overcome challenges in regenerative medicine and drug delivery.
