Dr. Ezgi Yalcintas

Dr. Ezgi Pinar Yalcintas received her M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University, where she constructed cellular biomechanics models to elucidate the mechanical interactions within cells. She received her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where she developed microneedle (MN) systems for drug delivery, neural probe delivery, and biosensing applications. During her Ph.D., she also worked on soft-matter technologies and devised methods for scalable manufacturing of liquid-metal, eutectic gallium-indium (EGaIn), based soft and wearable electronics systems for health monitoring. Ezgi joined the Khademhosseini lab at the Terasaki Institute of Biomedical Innovation (TIBI) in November 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher. Her research at Terasaki Institute is focused on developing minimally invasive personalized drug delivery and biosensing technologies.
