Amir Ahari

My major research interests relate to stem cell tissue engineering, biomaterials and precision medicine. Having years of clinical practice with extensive research experience in micro-scale tissue engineering, stem cell, biomaterial, pathology and medical imaging, I am confident and excited that the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation (TIBI) will provide a unique ecosystem for integrated translational research.

I enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team of similar minded scientists, clinicians, and engineers which allows me to leverage my capabilities to the next level.

At TIBI, I aim to convergence my broad clinical experience with extensive knowledge in pathology of diseases and non-invasive diagnostic tests to find novel solutions to treat prevalence diseases including cancer and its metastasis by testing new hypothesis to move towards precision medicine.
