Jinjoo Kim

Jinjoo Kim received her Ph.D. degree in Biological Science from the Bio-nanomedicine laboratory at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea in 2020. During her PhD, she worked on developing nanoparticles for various biomedical applications, which were mainly focused on drug delivery. She has a broad experience spanning conceptualization, designing and engineering biomaterials, characterization, in vitro tests, and in vivo tests with mouse models. In terms of materials engineering, she has extensive experience in the development, formulation, and characterization of a variety of nanomaterials; polymer-coated gold nanorods, amphiphile-based micelles, lipid-based nanoparticles, protein-based self-assembling nanoparticles, and so on. Jinjoo joined TIBI in February 2022 as a postdoctoral researcher in the field of tissue engineering and biomaterials. She is interested in a clinically relevant field of research that can actually make a diffence.
