Tyler Hoffman, Affiliate Graduate Student Researcher

Tyler received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University in 2016. There, his research at the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials under Dr. Yong Mao and Dr. Joachim Kohn focused on bone and cartilage regeneration using synthetic biomaterials, extracellular matrices, and stem cells. Following, Tyler worked at Osiris Therapeutics (now Smith & Nephew) in Columbia, Maryland developing and characterizing new placental-based products used clinically for wound healing and regenerative medicine. Tyler is currently a Ph.D. student in the Bioengineering department at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research interests include designing functional biomaterials for influencing cell behavior and tissue engineering.
